My name is Lisa Lancaster and I’ve been privileged to teach school for 17 years now. I received my undergraduate degree from Clemson University in 1989 and then my masters degree in 1992 from Mercer University. I began my teaching career in Warner Robbins Georgia teaching 2nd grade. I then began a family and wanted to stay home and be with my children for a while so I took a small break from being in the classroom. As I was raising my children, I also ran a small tutoring business from home which kept me up on teaching needs of children. I started back my teaching career in 2005 in Gaffney, SC teaching Gifted and Talented classes where at that time I also earned certification hours for this area of education. I taught that for about 5 years and then moved to a 5th grade classroom. After loving and teaching 5th graders for four years I then decided to move down to teach 2nd grade. It was during this 7 year period I was named Reading Teacher of the year in 2014 and I was named Teacher of the Year in 2016
I have been married to Rev. Richard Lancaster for 29 years and we have 4 beautiful children; Katie, Luke, Hannah and Emmie; 1 son-in-law, Kyle, and we had our first granddaughter in Sept! Her name is Ava Mae and she’s so much fun!
I love being in the classroom. I not only love teaching the content to my kids, but I love teaching children all about being good citizens and good team players in their classroom.
